The Interface
The sidebar, Simple vs Full mode, and privacy modes.
The sidebar
The left sidebar is your main navigation. Top to bottom:
Collapse or expand the sidebar and open the keyboard-shortcuts sheet (⌘/ on macOS, Ctrl+/ on Windows) from its footer.
Call status
The sidebar footer also carries a call badge. When a call is running it names the app — Teams call, Zoom call — and the dot lights up; otherwise it reads No call detected.
Detection covers Microsoft Teams on macOS and Windows, plus Zoom, Webex, Slack, and Discord on macOS. It works by watching how much real-time media traffic each app is carrying — nothing reads your call content, and no call is ever joined. Because an app that is closed and an app that is merely idle look identical to that signal, the badge says "no call detected" rather than claiming a specific app is idle.
Simple vs Full mode
The complete console — live assistant, meeting progress, presenter tools, and every advanced page up front.
A streamlined view for recording, transcript, and summary. Some features are switched off — the live assistant, meeting progress, and presenter tools.
Switch anytime under Settings → General & Recording.
Privacy modes
The sidebar footer always shows your current Privacy mode and whether Offline Mode is on:
- • On-Device — capture, transcription, and AI run locally.
- • Hybrid — a mix of on-device and cloud, with cloud calls logged.
- • Cloud — cloud providers handle transcription/summaries.
See Privacy & Audit Log for how offline mode is enforced and inspected.
